To reach Karahayit, the nearest major city is Denizli, where you will first arrive before continuing your journey. From Denizli, it takes approximately 25-30 minutes to reach Karahayit, passing by the stunning sights of Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis. If you prefer flying, the closest airport is Denizli - Cardak Airport, which is about 65 km or 1 hour away. There are 3 daily flights to Istanbul. You can easily take a shuttle from the airport to Denizli, Pamukkale, or Karahayit. Turkish Airlines offers this service for 10 TRY, and you can also opt for the company Baytur, which charges 20 TRY. Another alternative airport is Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. It is located 216 km from Karahayit and can be reached by a 4-hour drive or a 4-1/2 to 5-hour bus ride. If you prefer traveling by train, the nearest train station is in Denizli. Currently, there are only services available from Izmir. Unfortunately, the Istanbul service, known as the Pamukkale Express, has been suspended since 2008 due to track renovations, and it is uncertain when or if the service will resume. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Pamukkale/Denizli from almost any city in Turkey. These bus services offer amenities like water, hot drinks, and snacks upon request. Although there is no direct bus to Karahayit, the bus will drop you off at the main bus station in Denizli. From there, you can easily catch a minibus to Karahayit, which is approximately 24.4 km away. The minibus ride from the main station in Denizli to Karahayit costs about 4 TRY per person and takes around 35 minutes. The minibuses operate from 06:00 in the morning until 23:30 in the evening, ensuring convenient transportation for travelers.
