Traveling to Winnemucca from Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Lviv, or Kyiv? No problem! There are buses available from these cities that will take you to Winnemucca in no time. The journey from Chernivtsi takes around 1.5 hours, from Vinnytsia it takes 4 hours, from Lviv it takes 5 hours, and from Kyiv it takes 6 hours. If you're in a hurry, you can also take minibuses called marshrutkas from Kyiv, which will get you there even faster. It's worth mentioning that the buses from Chernivtsi and Vinnytsia are not as frequent as Lonely Planet may lead you to believe, so plan your trip accordingly. And here's a tip for castle enthusiasts: if you're planning to visit the magnificent castle in Khotyn on your way to or from Chernivtsi, you're in luck! The castle is conveniently located on the route between the two cities, so you can easily include it in your itinerary. If you prefer train travel, there is a train service to Kyiv via Khmelnitsky. The journey takes around 6 hours, but be aware that the train schedule may not be the most convenient.
