When embarking on a journey from Dakar with your own vehicle, the route is quite straightforward and the roads are in good condition. Start by taking the national route from Dakar to Mbour, and then continue from Mbour to Joal. The drive will be smooth and enjoyable. If you prefer to use public transport, there's a convenient option from Dakar. Head to the garage pompier and hop on a sept place for 2,100 CFA. This will take you directly to Joal. If you're departing from Mbour, the sept place ride will cost 750 CFA. Just keep in mind that you'll need to negotiate the price for your luggage separately. Typically, larger and heavier bags will cost around 500-750 CFA each from Dakar to Joal. The sept place will make a stop at the northern bus station (14.186380, -16.858601). If your ultimate destination is Ndangane, make sure to use the smaller southern bus station located at (14.158628, -16.836099). It's important to know the right station for your onward journey.
