Jimbolia is a town located in the Banat plain, at the junction of the Timis Plain and Mures Plain. It serves as an important intersection for travel routes connecting Romania and Serbia. This frontier post acts as a border for both rail and road transportation between the two countries. Jimbolia is connected to Timisoara by county road DJ 59A and the Kikinda (SR)-Jimbolia-Timisoara railroad.
