Planning a trip to Jammerbugten? Let's explore the different ways to get there. If you prefer flying, Aalborg Airport is the closest option with excellent connections to other European airports. You'll find that Copenhagen and Oslo are just 45 minutes away, while Berlin, Amsterdam, and London are all within a 1 to 1.5-hour flight. If you prefer traveling by ferry with a car, there are some directions to consider. Coming from Hirtshals, follow Route 559 to Sønder I By in Blokhus, then exit the roundabout onto Vesterhavsvej/Route 559. After passing through another roundabout, make a left turn onto Sønder I By. If you're arriving from Frederikshavn, follow E45 and Route 559 to Sønder I By in Blokhus. Traveling by car from Germany on the E45? Take exit 20 (Vendsyssel, Hirtshals/Thisted) and stay on the left. Follow main road 11, and at the roundabout in Hvejen, you'll find that main roads 55 and 11 intersect. Head north towards Jammerbugten, with main road 55 leading to Blokhus and main road 11 leading to Brovst, Fjerritslev, and Thisted. If you're coming from the north on the E45, choose exit 20 (Bødet, Hirtshals, Thisted) and turn right. In the next roundabout, take the 3rd road, leading you to another roundabout where you'll choose the 1st road, main road 11, heading north towards Jammerbugten. Finally, if you're coming from Germany or the ferry ports Frederikshavn and Hirtshals, take the European Road E45. Now, you're ready to embark on your journey to Jammerbugten!
