From Granada: - Catch a chicken bus (known as "Camioneta de pollos" in Spanish) to Rivas from south of the market in Granada and one block west. The fare is only C$50 (June 2019). - From Rivas, head to the island's main port, Moyogalpa, by boat or ferry from San Jorge near Rivas. The fare ranges from C$35 to C$50, depending on the type of boat. Alternatively, you can take a shared taxi from Rivas bus terminal to San Jorge, costing no more than C$20 per person. - It's also possible to take a chicken bus from either road flanking the Rivas bus terminal to the boat at San Jorge for only C$10 (June 2019). - Don't forget to pay the tourist tax of C$33/US$1 upon departure and make sure you get a receipt. Additional Information: - There are plenty of hotels and restaurants within walking distance of the ferry terminal in Moyogalpa. - Buses pick up and drop off at the terminal in Moyogalpa, and taxis are available, but be prepared to bargain for the fare. From Managua: - If you're coming from Managua, there are direct "expresso" chicken buses available to San Jorge, eliminating the need for a taxi from Rivas.
