The Indigenous Peoples Trail begins at Dhunge via Mude, which is a 3-hour drive from Dhulikhel or a 4.5-hour drive from Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Dhunghe, start your adventure with a short climb towards the breathtaking Thulo Sailung. Follow the trail down to the charming Sherpa village of Khola Kharka, where you can spend the night in the newly established Khola Kharka Community Centre. For independent travelers coming from Kathmandu, another option is to take a bus to Mude and spend the night there before embarking on a walk to Khola Kharka via Dhunghe. Make sure to start early to allow for a 3-4 hour journey.
