Pro tip: the songthaews run on a schedule from 8:00 to 12:00, and after that, they operate without a fixed timetable. But don't worry, if you miss the last songthaew or bus, there are tuk-tuks and motorcycle taxis available to take you to Chiang Saen. Keep in mind, they might charge around 70 baht for the 10km trip. To reach the Golden Triangle from Chiang Rai, you can also opt for Greenbus minivans that run from the Chiang Rai Bus Terminal, providing you with a convenient and comfortable transportation option.
