Getting into Gaza can be a challenging adventure, but the rewards are worth it. Most visitors from countries with diplomatic relations with Israel are required to apply for Israeli permission in advance to enter the Gaza Strip through the Erez crossing. This process can take quite some time, so be prepared for a potentially lengthy wait. If you're looking for an alternative entry point, you can consider entering Gaza from Egypt through the Rafah crossing. However, please note that this option is not ideal for foreigners due to limited access. The Rafah crossing is only open for a few days every few months. Therefore, it is strongly advisable to enter via the Erez crossing whenever possible. Keep in mind that once you enter Gaza, you must also exit through the same crossing point. For example, if you enter via Erez, you must exit via Erez only. There are no exceptions to this rule. So plan your journey accordingly and make the necessary arrangements in advance to ensure a smooth entry and exit from Gaza.
