Welcome to Gastonia, a rapidly growing area in Gaston County, just west of Charlotte, NC. Today, the historic courthouse square is home to the Gaston County Museum of Art and History, as well as the county jail. While Gastonia was initially known for farming and liquor making, it soon became a thriving textile manufacturing hub. Located just 15 minutes west of Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Gastonia is easily accessible for travelers. In addition to the large airport, Gastonia also has its own municipal airport catering to small jets and prop driven aircraft. For those driving, Interstate 85 and U.S. Highways 321 and 29/74 provide convenient highway access. If you prefer to travel by train, there is an unmanned Amtrak station located in East Gastonia, offering access to trains on the Crescent line that runs between New York and New Orleans. And if you're coming from a nearby city, there is a Greyhound station located just east of downtown Gastonia.
