To explore Fiordland National Park, you have various options for starting your journey. You can drive or take a bus on State Highway 94 to Te Anau, which is known as the park's "gateway". Another option is to fly to Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound from Queenstown, Glenorchy, or Te Anau. If you prefer to start your exploration from Manapouri, it is only a 15-minute drive from Te Anau. From Manapouri, you can take daily departures to Doubtful Sound, which is also located within Fiordland National Park. With so many starting points, you can easily embark on a thrilling adventure through this stunning natural wonderland.
