Welcome to the enchanting villages of Porto, Rocca Ciauli, Valdichiesa, Pecorini alto, and Pecorini mare! Each village has its own unique charm and offers an unforgettable experience. Start your journey in Porto, where the ferry arrives, and marvel at the picturesque surroundings. Above Porto is the charming village of Rocca Ciauli, offering breathtaking views of the area. Explore Valdichiesa, nestled at 300m altitude, where the road ends and tranquility begins. Pecorini alto is home to the local post office, while Pecorini mare awaits on the other side of Porto with its beautiful beach. Don't forget to visit the ATM in Porto, but be aware it occasionally runs out of money. Fuel up at the gas station there, which, like the ATM, occasionally runs out of fuel. While Italian is the main language spoken, you'll also encounter the local dialect Filicudaro, stemming from the strong community of Filicudi emigrants who settled in the new world. English, especially the Australian variety, is widely understood due to these connections. So, get ready for "gidday mate" greetings and embark on an unforgettable adventure through these captivating villages!
