When visiting the area, the closest airport is the Calais-Dunkerque Airport, located between the towns of Calais and Dunkerque and closer to Calais. Another airport, the Ostend-Bruges International Airport, can be found on the outskirts of Bruges. If you prefer, you can also fly into Brussels Airport, from where you can easily rent a car. The driving distance to and from the airport is approximately 1.5 hours. Additionally, there are convenient ferry options available, with ferries operating between Dover in England and Dunkirk. However, please note that foot passengers are not allowed on this particular connection. For those traveling by train, Dunkirk has a well-connected train station that offers routes to Paris, Lille, and Arras. It is important to note that the train line between Dunkirk and Belgium, as seen on most maps, is not for passenger use.
