Dori, a town nestled between two colossal barrages, offers a unique and adventurous experience. The older barrage stands as a testament to time, while the newer one is still under construction, promising exciting developments to come. Explore this vibrant town, but be prepared to navigate through numerous smaller barrages that form during the rainy season, adding a touch of challenge to your journey. In Dori, sand presents another obstacle, making it an adventure itself, especially during the dry season. Maneuvering through the sandy terrain on a bike requires skill and determination. Immerse yourself in the cultural melting pot of Dori, where different languages fill the air. Fulfulde, the language of Africa's Fulani societies, is widely spoken, alongside the melodious tones of Moor. Many children are fluent in French, making it easy for them to interact with visitors. The diversity of the town is reflected in its various neighborhoods, each with its unique blend of languages, including languages from the Peuhls, Mossis, Songrai, Bella, Gulmance, Tauregs, and people from Mauritania.
