Getting Around in Hue

If you're visiting Hue and looking for transportation options, here are some convenient ways to get around:

DMZ Tours

Travel agents in Hue offer cheap buses as part of their DMZ tours. These buses can take you to and from Dong Ha and also connect you to Savannakhet in Laos.

Minibuses or Vans

You can also take minibuses or vans from Hue or Danang. The fare from Hue is 50,000D and from Danang is 100,000D. These services run throughout the day.

Bus to Savannakhet

• The Sepon Express Company operates a bus service from Dong Ha to Savannakhet. The bus departs from Dong Ha on every odd date (1st, 3rd, 5th) and returns from Savannakhet on every even date (2nd, 4th, 6th). The cost of the bus ticket is 180,000 dong. The bus leaves Dong Ha at 08:00 and arrives in Savannakhet at about 16:00 or 17:00. Please note that this information is accurate as of August 2012, and it's always a good idea to check for the most up-to-date information.

Mafia Bus

There is also a van service in Hue known as "Mafia Bus." These vans run all day and can take you to the Lao Bao border. The fare for this service is typically between 35,000 and 50,000 dong.

Private Car Transfer

If you prefer a more personalized transportation option, you can arrange for a private car transfer from Hue or Hoian. Hoian Private Car offers competitive prices and can provide an English-speaking driver to assist you during your trip.
