Get in
For an exhilarating diving experience, you can choose between a boat dive from Rooi-Els or Gordon's Bay or a shore entry dive, which involves quite a climb. Although the climb can be challenging, the scree at the roadside is probably the most difficult part. To reach the dive site, park at the paved parking area on the seaward side of the road on Faure Marine Drive (R44). Keep in mind that the path is not clearly marked, so it's important to check it out before getting ready. Once you're in the water, you'll discover the gully, which serves as an easy entry and a safe exit on calm days. There are ledges below the surface that can be used for access when the tide is high. Take in the stunning views of the dip of the strata on the far side. As you explore, be sure to enter the side of the gully after checking the conditions. There are small ledges that act as convenient steps, which can also be helpful for exiting if the tide is high. However, be cautious about the surge, as it can make the inner end of the gully uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. If conditions deteriorate during your dive, Percys Hole offers alternative exits. Dive into this thrilling underwater world and create unforgettable memories!
