Understand
If you're looking for an exhilarating adventure near Cape Town, this is the perfect site to spot Cow sharks. This site is renowned for its frequent sightings of these magnificent creatures. The excitement doesn't stop here; adjacent to this site is another location called Pyramid, where you may also catch a glimpse of Cow sharks. Although, it's worth mentioning that Cow sharks have been occasionally reported from other sites in False Bay as well.
Get in
For those seeking an adventure on land or by sea, this site provides options for both. If you choose to enter from the shore, be prepared for a challenging but rewarding experience. The usual entry point is a small rocky beach just inshore of Pyramid rock, with Castle Rocks to the north. Be cautious of slippery pathways and steep terrain, but once you make it in the water, you'll be surrounded by a stunning underwater world. Take a look at the Shark Alley entry point and the roadside parking area for a glimpse of what awaits you. If you prefer a different shore entry, Rumbly Bay offers an alternative route, but be sure to navigate carefully through the narrow and shallow channel. If you decide to go by boat, keep in mind the kelp forests offshore, but don't let that deter you from enjoying the sandy gap between Castle Rocks and Pyramid. This site is a favorite among divers and will give you an unforgettable underwater adventure.
