Experience the thrill of a shore dive at Twelve Apostles, a stunning dive site located in the coastal city. The adventure begins as you park your car on the side of the road, just beyond the bend on the City side of the Twelve Apostles Hotel. Follow the path near the signpost, which leads you on a steep descent surrounded by trees and a majestic granite boulder. As you continue your journey, the path curves to the north, presenting you with multiple options to explore. To the left, you'll find the entry point for Justins Caves, an exciting underwater cavern waiting to be discovered. Straight ahead, a sloping path takes you down to a shallow gully nestled between massive boulders, offering a unique underwater landscape to explore. To the right, a slightly uphill path tucked between bushes leads you to a rocky, sandy gully with a small beach at low tide. This entry point closer to the road provides a sandy bottom with impressive granite boulders on both sides. The boulder on the right conveniently serves as a resting spot for your fins, camera, and other equipment as you prepare for your dive. Both of these access points are safe and protected, making it possible to dive in almost any conditions. Keep in mind that there is a considerable swim to reach the dive site, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. However, the effort will be well worth it once you immerse yourself in the underwater wonders of Twelve Apostles. If you prefer a different diving experience, you can also opt for a boat dive. There are two options for boats: Oceana Power Boat Club in Granger Bay, which is slightly closer, or Hout Bay. Boats can anchor on the sandy area close to the rock, providing a convenient starting point for your underwater exploration. Whether you choose to do a shore dive or a boat dive, Twelve Apostles offers a diverse and captivating underwater world that will leave you in awe of nature's beauty.
