Get in
Access to this diving spot is most convenient by boat, although it is also possible to reach it from the shore. If you choose to go by boat, you can depart from either Gordons Bay (2.4km away) or Harbour Island (3.0km away). You will easily recognize the site as a reef, as it is often marked by turbulence or white water. When parking, make sure to park on the seaward side of the road below the five houses. The climb to the dive spot is moderately steep but not too difficult. The path may not be clear, so it is advised to check it out before getting ready. There are two entry points you can choose from: 1. Down steep rocks to a ledge directly inshore of the reef, located 75m at 019 magnetic from the car park. This entry point offers a good exit point to the west of a little gully and almost looks like a staircase. At the west side of the ledge, there is a small shallow ridge parallel to the shore which serves as a convenient step at low tide. The choice of exit points depends on the tide and swell, so be sure to time the waves and choose the best opportunity for exit. 2. Another entry/exit option is at the north-east facing gully. If you are interested, you can also check out the Vogelsteen entry and exit point. You can find more information about it in the access section for Vogelsteen. Make sure to plan your dive carefully and enjoy the adventure!
