Get ready for an exciting diving adventure at Wondergat, a beautiful shore entry dive site. To access this hidden gem, you'll need to descend 35 irregular steps, so make sure you have good balance. The walk down to the dive spot, fully geared up, will get your adrenaline pumping. After the thrilling dive, be prepared for the return journey, which can be quite strenuous. Don't worry though, as there is adequate parking available, and it's included in the entry fee. If you're coming from Johannesburg or other places to the south and east, take the R503 road towards Lichtenburg. On your journey, you'll pass through Buhrmansdrift, where you'll find a shop on the left side before entering Rooigrond. Drive for approximately 7km, and then turn right at the turnoff to Molopo-oog. Continue for another 7km, and finally, turn right at the sign that leads to TDA Wondergat. For those coming from Pretoria or other locations to the north and west, your route will be slightly different. Take the R49 road towards Mafikeng, and approximately 15km before reaching Mafikeng, look out for the sign to Rooigrond (you can't miss the big grain silos on the right-hand side). After spotting the sign, turn left and drive for about 7km until you see the second sign for Molopo-oog. Take a left turn and drive for another 7km. Finally, turn right at the sign that leads to TDA Wondergat. Please note that Wondergat may occasionally be closed for maintenance. It's always a good idea to phone ahead and confirm that it will be open during your desired visit. Get ready for an unforgettable diving experience!
