Get in
Depok is a bustling city near Jakarta, and there are several ways to get there. If you prefer the road, you can take Jalan Lenteng Agung or Jalan Raya Bogor from Jakarta. These roads can get quite crowded, so it's best to plan your trip accordingly to avoid the morning and afternoon rush. Another option is to take the toll road and exit for Depok, which is a faster route.
If you prefer public transportation, you can take the train. The Bogor line has five stations in Depok: Universitas Indonesia, Pondok Cina, Depok Baru, Depok, and Citayam. KA Commuter Jabodetabek serves these stations, and you can buy tickets at the manned-counter or use the new ticketing system. There are two types of tickets available: the single-trip card and the multiple trip card, which costs IDR 50,000 with IDR 30,000 credit. The new fare counting system is called 'Progressive Fares', where the fare depends on the number of stations passed.
If you prefer taking the bus, DAMRI is the nearest airport bus pickup point. You can take the 129 microlet to Pasar Minggu or the 112 microlet to Kampung Rambutan. There is also the Debora bus service, although it can be overcrowded at times.
Lastly, you can always travel by taxi, which can be easily found in Jalan Margonda Raya. The Blue Bird and Taxiku taxi companies are reliable options, and there is also Express. Prices for a typical fare range from Rp 80,000 to Rp 200,000, depending on the starting point.
