If you are planning to visit this place from the nation's capital, Port Moresby, Airlines PNG offers daily flights for your convenience. On the other hand, reaching this destination from Australia may require a bit more effort. While there is no commercial transport available, it is possible to find someone in the Torres Strait Islands who can take you to Daru by boat. It is important, however, to obtain a visa for Papua New Guinea in advance. Please note that only Torres Strait Islanders are allowed to travel into Papua New Guinea without documents up to the 9 degrees South latitude line, just north of Daru.
