Another option is to take an overnight train to Pathankot, which takes about 10 hours, and then a 23-hour drive to Dalhousie. For a more comfortable journey, you can also consider the Delhi-Chakki Bank train, which will bring you closer to Pathankot. Once in Pathankot, you can take a local bus to Bhaniket and then continue to Dalhousie. The total distance is approximately 560 km, and the roads in Haryana and Punjab are generally in excellent condition. However, it is advisable to avoid the conventional NH1 route due to traffic congestion in Ludhiana. Alternatively, there are frequent bus services from Pathankot to Dalhousie, or you can hire a taxi for a more convenient transfer. If you prefer to travel by air, the nearest airports are Pathankot, Gaggal, Jammu, and Amritsar, each offering flights from Delhi and other destinations. For a more affordable option, you can also take a local bus to Kangra, Dharamsala, Khajjiar, or Chamba and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
