After a three and a half hours ride, you will arrive in Cape Tribulation, and the bus continues on to Cooktown. On the return trip, the bus departs from Cooktown at 10:00 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Besides TransNorth, there are three other companies that offer day trips with overnight options from Cairns to Cape Tribulation. These companies include Cape Trib Connections, Active Tropics Explorer, and Jungle Tours. While these options may be slightly more expensive, they offer additional amenities such as a crocodile-watching boat ride on the Daintree River and a visit to the Mossman Gorge.
