Embark on an extraordinary adventure along the Coast To Coast Walk, spanning 190 miles across the stunning landscapes of England. This awe-inspiring trail, created by the visionary Alfred Wainwright in 1972, offers a remarkable journey from the picturesque St Bees in Cumbria on the West coast to the breath-taking Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire on the East coast. Although not officially recognized as a National Trail, it has gained immense popularity and was ranked second, only after the majestic Milford Track in New Zealand's South Island, in a recent poll by Country Walking magazine to determine the world's finest walk. Throughout this remarkable journey, you will traverse three magnificent National Parks: the captivating Lake District, the enchanting Yorkshire Dales, and the mesmerizing North York Moors. Following Wainwright's suggestion, start from the West and be rewarded with unparalleled views and the advantageous tailwind. Notably, the North York Moors portion of the trail coincides with the Cleveland Way Trail for approximately 11 miles, from Osmotherley to Clay Bank Top. Plan your adventure with the help of the [a href="https://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/cleveland-way" target="_blank"]Cleveland Way Trail[/a] website. Immerse yourself in Wainwright's distinctive guide book, filled with hand-written text and hand-drawn maps, much like his iconic Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells. Get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey where nature's splendor meets the explorer's spirit.
