Cirali, a district within the main village of Ulupinar in Turkey, holds a significant role as a hatching ground for endangered Loggerhead sea turtles, also known as Caretta Caretta. This unique coastal area was once mostly marsh, forest, and fields, until people started to migrate to Cirali in the 1960s.
With its predominantly agricultural past, the villagers relied on greenhouses and citrus orchards for income. However, over the years, tourism emerged as the primary source of livelihood. In Cirali, you won't find large hotels, but instead, cozy family-run bungalows, pensions, and restaurants.
Despite the challenges brought about by rapid development, Cirali's beach remains one of the most stunning in Antalya. The area's natural beauty continues to capture the hearts of visitors, making it a must-visit destination.
