Get in
Located in the South Shore region of Nova Scotia, Chester is a charming town that offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of Halifax. To reach Chester and Chester Basin, the most efficient way is by car. You can easily rent a car from the Halifax International Airport or various locations in Halifax and Dartmouth. If driving from Halifax, you have two options. The first is taking Highway 103 south, which takes approximately 45 minutes to reach Chester (Exit number 8). However, for a more scenic journey, consider taking St. Margaret's Bay Road. This route follows the stunning coastline, passing through picturesque seaside towns like Hubbards. Although it takes a bit longer (at least an hour and a half), the breathtaking vistas make it well worth it. If you don't have access to a car, another option is the Acadian Lines bus service. This daily bus service departs from Halifax and travels along the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia. For booking inquiries, contact 1-800-567-5151. No matter how you choose to travel, Chester and its surrounding areas promise a wonderful experience filled with captivating landscapes and welcoming communities.]
