Step back in time and explore the rich history of this settlement, which dates back to at least the Spring and Autumn period (770-426 BC). Yancheng, a city encircled by three concentric moats, was established during this period. Over the years, Changzhou has been graced by the presence of numerous illustrious individuals. Among them are Song dynasty poet DongPo, Emperor QianLong, and even the Japanese Army, who made a stop here on their way to destroy Nanjing.
