The Chachapoyas, also known as the "Cloud People" or the "Warriors of the Clouds," were an ancient culture that thrived in the cloud forests of the current Amazonas Department in Peru. The term Chachapoyas is derived from the Quechua words "sacha" and "Puyus," which literally mean "cloud forest."
The Chachapoyas' culture flourished from 750 to 800 AD in this unique natural environment. Their civilization left behind intriguing remnants of their existence, attracting curiosity and fascination from historians and explorers alike.
