Looking to travel to the beautiful Manuel Antonio/Quepos? You have multiple options to choose from!
First, you can take a flight from the capital city. Many major airlines provide service to the capital, making it easy for you to catch a puddle jumper to your destination. It's definitely worth the money, as you'll get a stunning view during the 20-30 minute flight. Plus, you'll be able to skip the long bus or taxi ride.
For the more adventurous souls, you can embark on an exciting bus journey from the capital. It only costs $4-5, but be warned, it will be an adventure like no other. Just remember to stay vigilant for pickpockets at the Coca-cola bus terminal in San Jose.
If you prefer more independence, renting a car is also an option. However, I highly recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The roads in this area are not well marked and can be quite winding and treacherous, with steep cliffs along the way. So make sure you have a reliable and sturdy vehicle to conquer the terrain!
