Get in
If you're looking to explore the beautiful town of Bredasdorp, there are a few ways to get there. One option is to hop in your car and drive on the N2 highway, which stretches all the way from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. Along this scenic route, you'll pass through the famous Garden Route, known for its breathtaking views. Take the Caledon turnoff and continue for about 100 kilometers until you reach Caledon. From there, it's just another 100+ kilometers to Bredasdorp. The journey takes about 2 hours from Cape Town, but with the picturesque scenery, it will feel like no time at all.
If driving isn't your thing, you can also take a bus. Many intercity bus companies make a stop in Caledon, so you can easily catch a ride to Bredasdorp.
If you're up for a more adventurous route, consider taking the scenic gravel road from Gansbaai to Bredasdorp. This meandering road will take you through the charming rural hamlet of Baardskeerdersbos and the historic Moravion mission village of Elim. It's a slower journey, but you'll be rewarded with stunning vistas along the way.
