Are you dreaming of an island getaway? The Camotes Islands off the coast of Cebu are waiting for you. To get there, start by taking a bus from the North Bus Terminal in Cebu City to Danao. The bus ride, which will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, will drop you off in front of the pier. From there, catch a ferry to Consuelo on Pacijan Island. There are daily departures by Jomalia Shipping at 05:30, 08:30, 11:00, 14:00, and 17:30. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, there is also a ferry at 21:00. The ferry ride lasts around 2 hours and costs just 180 pesos. Once you arrive at Consuelo port, you'll find jeepneys waiting to take you to Santiago Bay. Don't be fooled by the initial price, as they often offer a reduced fare of 50 pesos per person. If you prefer, you can also take the Super Shuttle Ferry to Poro on Poro Island. The ferry departs daily at 05:00 and 13:00, and the journey takes approximately 3 hours, with a fare of 180 pesos. To return to Cebu City, simply catch a bus from the highway in front of Danao pier. Buses depart regularly and cost around 30 pesos for a 1 to 1.5-hour journey. If you're looking to explore further north, there are also buses that go all the way to Maya, the departure pier for Malapascua Island.
