Get in
For an exciting journey from Cusco to Abancay, you have several options for transportation. Buses depart from Cusco at 5:00 AM and take you to the turnoff for Cachora, near Saywite. From there, you can take a taxi to the town, which usually costs around 4-5 soles. If you prefer a more convenient option, there is a bus service from Cusco terminal to Abancay, with a stop in Cachora. These buses typically leave at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM and cost 20 soles. Another alternative is to take a minivan. They have a terminal in Cusco, located at Av. Arcopata, just before the T crossroad with Av. Ayahuayco. The minivans charge 15 soles to get to Ramala or Saywite, but make sure to insist on being taken all the way to Cachora. Sometimes, they stop in Ancahuasi, which is around 30 minutes earlier. Choosing a big bus is a cheaper and easier option for reaching Abancay. These buses run frequently from Mytiline and usually cost around 2.75 soles each way. Enjoy the scenic views along the way and get ready for an adventure in Abancay!
