The fastest bus from Ankara takes approximately 2 hours to reach Sungurlu, but the actual duration may vary depending on the chosen route. If you prefer taking the dolmus, it is advisable to take the midnight bus from Ankara and arrive early in Sungurlu, where you can find food and rest at the Otagar (a 24/7 rest stop for coaches). This way, you can avoid getting stuck, as Bogazkale is about 30km away from the Otagar. Another option for adventurous travelers is hitchhiking, especially since there is only one road serving Bogazkale and forming an intersection with the Ankara-Samsun highway.
