These Burkinabe individuals, who carry a touch of Bobolaise charm, extend their warm welcome to strangers and neighbors alike. It is not uncommon to be invited to join a mini block party, where tea is shared, conversations flow freely, and delicious food is savored. Bobo is a place where social connections thrive, with old ladies strolling, schoolkids chatting in groups, and the sense of community celebrated like no other. However, keep in mind that Bobo also has its fair share of characters, including the crafty Faux Types, always on the prowl to strike up a conversation or make a sale to unsuspecting Tubabus (that's you, my friend). In Bobo, languages such as French, Jula, Bobo (a local dialect), and various regional dialects can be heard. Known as the commercial capital of Burkina, Bobo offers a plethora of goods and services, rivaling those found in Ouagadougou (with the exception of Jimmy's Bar and ice cream at Chez Simone). Prices here tend to be a tad friendlier on the wallet than in Ouaga. As for the climate, prepare to be delighted by Bobo's pleasant and temperate weather, thanks to the abundance of greens and trees that grace the area.
