By Car Traveling to Bergen by car is easy and convenient. The town is located on the main B3 route, which runs from north to south between Soltau and Celle. If you're coming from Hanover, you can take the A37 and connect to the B3. The journey is approximately 70 kilometers and will take you around 50 minutes. Traveling from Bremen? No problem! Just take the A27 autobahn and connect to the A7, then take the Buchholz junction to Celle. The distance is 28 kilometers, and it will take you about 30 minutes. If you're coming from Hamburg, take the A7 and connect to the B3. The scenic route to Bergen is around 100 kilometers and takes about an hour to drive. By Bus There is a local bus that runs regularly between Celle and Bergen. The direct bus route between the two towns is No. 1-15. If you want to explore the surrounding villages, you can also take the Entdecker Bus, a tourist bus that goes as far as Celle Bahnhof station. Celle has an extensive bus network within the center and to local attractions, with various options offering discounts for families, senior citizens, children, students, and more. Celle Bahnhof is the nearest station for passenger trains, and you can connect to the main rail system with trains to major cities like Hamburg and Hanover. Celle Bahnhof is also a stop for ICE trains running on the Hamburg to Hanover route. Trains to Hanover and Hamburg stop hourly at the station, as do individual ICE trains during busy periods. The Metronom trains link Celle to Uelzen, Hannover, and Göttingen as part of the regional transport network. If you want to travel more extensively around the area, Hanover is a better option. The Deutsche Bahn railway station in Celle is approximately a fifteen-minute walk or a five-minute taxi ride west of the Celle Altstadt. By Plane The nearest airport to Bergen is Hanover, which is a main international airport with regular flights from all over the world. Hanover airport is located in Langenhagen, just 11 kilometers north of Hanover center. It is the ninth largest airport in Germany and has easy access to the autobahn. The distance from Hanover airport to Bergen is approximately 55 kilometers, and it takes around 55 minutes to drive. Bremen is another option for international flights, with many budget airlines operating regular flights to most European countries. Bremen airport is close to the city center and has good tram connections. The distance from Bremen airport to Celle center is 114 kilometers, and the journey takes about 75 minutes. Parking Most parking in Bergen is street parking. However, there is additional off-street parking available behind the main shopping area. It is accessible by taking the turning opposite the Sparkasse Bank and then turning right opposite the Bakery. The best part is that all parking in Bergen is free!
