Batman, a city once a humble village of a few hundred people, has transformed into a thriving urban center with a population in the hundreds of thousands. The train operates three times a week, allowing you to immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes. You can even book a comfortable bed in a sleeper car for slightly more than 60 TL. Credit cards are accepted at the Batman station. However, please note that during early August, the train can be exceptionally crowded due to seasonal workers heading to hazelnut orchards around Adapazar and Eastern Marmara. It is advisable to book your ticket in advance for a smooth journey. - Regional Airport: Batman is also conveniently served by a regional airport connecting it to Istanbul, Antalya, Ankara, and Izmir. Consider flying to Batman for a quicker and more convenient transportation option. - Buses: If you prefer exploring by road, buses are available from various cities across Turkey. Diyarbakr and Tatvan are particularly well-connected, with at least one daily service. A bus trip from Tatvan to Batman costs approximately 15 TL per person. The bus station (otogar) is located in the northern outskirts, about a one to one and a half-hour walk away from the city center and train station.
