Embark on a unique and exhilarating journey to the remote village with no direct road access. Begin your adventure by taking a jeepney from Banaue, a picturesque town known for its stunning landscapes. For tourists, the fare is P150 and is worth every penny for the fascinating experience ahead. The jeepney will take you to the Saddle or the end of the paved road, from where you'll embark on a 15-minute walk through the muddy terrain. Alternatively, you may have the opportunity to join a departing jeepney headed towards the Saddle, allowing you to pay only P50. Please note that the road to the Saddle is currently undergoing paving and extension, providing enhanced accessibility for future travelers. Keep in mind that not all jeepneys stop at the Saddle; some may halt at the Batad Junction, approximately three kilometers away. From there, a 30-minute uphill walk will take you to the Saddle, or you may try your luck and catch a ride in a reliable 4WD vehicle. Banaue offers two jeepneys in the morning and one in the afternoon, ensuring a convenient transport schedule for travelers. As of May 2015, the hotel lobby quoted a fare of Php 150 per person for a one-way ride from Banaue to the Saddle. If public jeepneys are not available, fret not. You can opt for a thrilling trike (tricycle) ride from Banaue to the Junction or Saddle. The one-way fare to the Saddle is approximately Php 500, and it can accommodate two people comfortably. A trip to the Junction may cost around Php 100-200, but it's always a good idea to inquire and compare prices. Tricycles are commonly found heading to the Junction and Saddle, especially after 10 am when jeepneys are no longer available from Batad. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also embark on a scenic walk from the Junction, which will take approximately one to one and a half hours. Step out of your comfort zone and embrace the thrill of reaching the village through various exciting transportation options.]
