Get in
Looking to explore Asan? Here's how you can easily get there! If you're coming from Seoul, you can hop on a train from Line 1 and get off at Onyangoncheon station, which is right in the city centre. For those wanting to enjoy hot springs, there's a fantastic hotel spa just a short 5-minute walk from the station. Alternatively, you can also take a bus from neighboring city, Cheonan or even from Seoul. The bus terminal is slightly outside the city centre, but don't worry, you can easily catch a taxi downtown (Shi-nae) for just 2000won. Another option is to take a city bus (420, 410) which will take you directly to the train station. Onyangoncheon can be easily reached from Cheonan, just a 30-minute bus ride or 15 minutes by train. If you're coming from Seoul, it's about a two and a half hour train ride or two hours by bus. There's even a convenient express train that starts from Cheongnyangri at the end of Line 1, making it almost as fast as the Nuriro. If you prefer the bullet train experience, the closest KTX station is Cheonan-Asan, which is just a 20-minute drive from the city centre. Regular trains connect the station to Onyangoncheon throughout the day, or you can opt for a taxi ride for around 7000won. The KTX from Cheonan-Asan is the fastest way to get to and from Seoul, taking only 30 minutes and costing approximately 15,000won. There's also a KTX train that goes to and from Incheon International Airport, with a travel time of about two hours. For those heading to Soonchunhyang University, the Sinchang Station on Line 1 is the last stop. You can easily reach it directly from Seoul by the express train- Nuriro, which runs a few times a day. The journey takes about an hour and a half and costs around 8,000won. The Nuriro also has stops at Onyangoncheon, Asan, Cheonan, Suwon, Anyang, Yongsan, and more.
