Arima, a vibrant hub in Trinidad, serves as a gateway to numerous exciting destinations. Easily accessible from major transportation hubs, such as maxi taxis and regular taxis, Arima provides a multitude of possibilities for exploration. While public buses are available to various locales like Blanchisseuse, Brasso Seco, and more, it is important to note that less popular routes may have infrequent schedules. Keep in mind that the Trinidad & Tobago public transit website may not always provide reliable information. Once in Arima, additional transportation may be required to reach your desired location. From the Piarco Airport, seek out drivers with officially registered badges to ensure fair prices, typically around 70 TT$. For a more budget-friendly alternative, shared taxis can take you to the heart of Arima for about 5 TT$. During Carnival or similar festivities, it may be necessary to transit at Arouca. From Port of Spain, reliable bus options include the Limited stop (4 TT$) and All-stop (2.50 TT$) buses. For a quicker journey, regular maxis (7 TT$) depart from the maxi taxi section of City Gate, taking approximately 40-45 minutes to reach Arima. Taxis (7 TT$) can be found on the corner of Henry's and South Quay, offering a fast but potentially traffic-prone route along the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway, as opposed to the maxis, which take the Priority Bus route.
