To get to Andahuaylas, there are convenient daily buses available from Ayacucho, Lima, and Cusco. The journey on the new paved road is a minimum of 6 hours, offering breathtaking views along the way. For those coming from Abancay, combis and buses are also an option, taking approximately 4 hours. If you prefer flying, the Andahuaylas airport, located in Huancabamba, offers two daily flights from LCPer. Upon arrival, you can take a shared taxi to Andahuaylas at a cost of 10 soles, which takes around 45 minutes to an hour. Andahuaylas itself is a sprawling town, extending along the river.
