Get in
To reach the castle, it will take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. There are two options available for transportation:
1) Shared Taxi: Near Minoodar (Gharibkosh) square, you can hop on a shared taxi that will take you to Gazorkhan village near the castle. This option costs about $12 per person for a round trip. Once you arrive at the village, you will need to walk for 10 minutes to reach the castle's entrance. Don't forget to bring along an entrance fee of $4 (15000 tomans) to explore the castle.
2) Rent a Car with an English-Speaking Driver: For a more adventurous experience, you can rent a car with a fluent English-speaking driver. This option allows you to go hiking in Andej Valley, visit the castle, and even take a trip to Ovan lake on the way back. If you're feeling up for it, you can also visit Lambsar Castle. Keep in mind that the castle is located above the mountain, so be prepared for a 20 to 30-minute walk to reach the top.
